All wines are described as going great with just about everything. But do they really? This 90 minute(ish) tasting explores how to look beyond the "star" of the show and consider preparation, spice, and sauce into you wine and food pairing.

It's become a bit of a trope to suggest a wine, "goes great with chicken, beef, of fish!"
Are we talking roast chicken or chicken curry? What about steak tartare or braised short ribs? Can we pair smoked salmon to the same wine as fish tacos?
Maybe. But maybe not.
In this workshop sample the three proteins, cooked in two different ways, and sample three wines to mix and match with each dish. Can we pair a spicy red wine with fish? Will a rich white wine work with beef? Should we pair the same wine with both chicken dishes?
The magic of food and wine pairing will be revealed in this illustrative, interactive – and delcious – workshop.
The Wine Sisters' chief sommelier, Erin Henderson, will lead you on a tasting of 3 wines of varying structures, profiles, and flavours.
Sample 6 small dishes, a duo of each chicken, beef, and fish, of both lighter and richer preparations.
