The Wine Sisters’ Beer, Gin & Grapefruit Cocktail

This summer we devoted a ton of time to drinking German style Raddler beer. Beer infused with grapefruit is refreshing, thirsty quenching and dangerously easy to drink, making these citrusy, tangy, lip smacking brews perfect for the (not nearly enough) hot summer afternoons.

Being that this roller coaster autumn weather is currently bright, sunny and very, very warm (dare we say hot …?) a Raddler was definitely on our minds for cocktail hour. Wanting to tip toe into the popular beer cocktail trend, we thought we would take a shot at making our own. It turned out deliciously, but our photo did not, hence the stock imagery. But we figured we’re all adults here and you guys can figure out how to do this even without the Instagram support.

TL - shandy

  • 1 ounce citrusy, London Dry gin (we like Beefeater)
  • 2 ounces sparkling grapefruit soda (PC makes a good one)
  • Blonde lager
  • Grapefruit wheel (for garnish)

Mix gin and soda over ice and top with beer … and get yourself to a patio  – STAT!
